To support the continued growth and professionalization of our organization, we are seeking an experienced Finance Director. As Finance Director, you are responsible for the financial strategy, governance, and overall financial performance of Sima Charters B.V. You are the strategic advisor to management and shareholders, ensuring that our organization remains financially healthy and ready for further development.

You are someone who brings structure, financial clarity, and calm to a dynamic environment. You think ahead, work accurately, and ensure that our company operates from a rock-solid financial foundation. As a member of the senior management team, you combine strategic insight with a hands-on approach and maintain a visible presence throughout the organization. With the continued growth of our fleet and international operations, you play a vital role in decision-making regarding investments, financing structures, fleet expansion, and future growth opportunities.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;

• Extensive experience in a senior financial management role;

• Strong knowledge of financial control, treasury, financing, taxation, and risk management;

• Experience leading teams and professionalizing financial organizations and processes;

• Strategic thinker with strong commercial insight and a hands-on mentality;

• Trusted sparring partner for management, shareholders, financial institutions, and external advisors;

• Experience within the maritime, offshore, logistics, or transportation sectors is considered an advantage;

• Excellent command of both Dutch and English;

• Full-time availability and willingness to work from the Maassluis office.

• Overall responsibility for financial administration and external financial reporting;

• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections;

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes;

• Prepare management reports and financial insights for management and shareholders;

• Manage treasury, working capital, and cash flow;

• Coordinate external audits, tax matters, and compliance activities;

• Identify financial risks and implement appropriate control measures;

• Optimize and digitalize financial processes and reporting systems;

• Advise on investments, financing structures, and strategic growth opportunities;

• Lead and further develop the finance organization.
