Variety and challenge on the water

Working as a skipper offers Maurits exactly the variety he seeks. The routes are constantly changing and take the boat to places not everyone can easily reach. Wherever the ship can sail, the Mts Ommoord will go. A moment that has always stayed with him is the ship's maiden voyage in 2020 to Neuves-Maisons on the Moselle. Narrow locks, low bridges, and a tall ship made it an intense and special experience, almost like sailing through Madurodam.
